Every so often my friend and I hit the Elephant's Trunk in New Milford, CT for some trinkets to transform into decor for our homes.  It's always hit or miss with what you'll find, and the weather certainly plays a role too - but it's a double edged sword; the more uncomfortable the weather, the better the price...but also the fewer players in the game.  Usually by 9 am the dealers have all run around and shopped each other's booths and are antsy to leave just as the city slickers arrive.  But for now, our luck has held and here are a few of our fun finds over the last few trips:

6 Glass laboratory bottles with original ground glass stoppers $25

.....and then there were 5.  I had an accident moving them and they all went flying...picture the little cartoon bubble with "noooooooooooooooo" coming out of my mouth.

Box o' milk glass (Tyler found these) 12 matching glasses!!

bright n shiny out of the dishwasher ~ turned out to be 6 water and 6 wine.  A little investigating on Ebay and I learned they are McKee Thumbprint pattern. The smaller ones make nice votives.

New Frame

Right at home in the bathroom, with gesso falling off like confetti.  But at $5 you can't complain!

A big thank you to my dear friend and flea market partner in crime, interior designer Tyler Taylor - after writing this post, I realized nothing about it would have happened without her.  photos, bargaining, carting us there....I owe ya chickie!!!...check out her fun blog House & Post for way more good ideas!!!
